Confessions of a Bookaholic

I recently finished a book and bought a couple new ones. Confessions of a Shopaholic was awful, I thought. The girl who got me into blogging recommended it, and she's very smart, but the book was not. Apparently, its part of a new genre that i just recently found out about. "Chick Lit" is not for me. It's the Bridget Jones' Diary, Devil Wears Prada type of books, with a clumsy, sympathetic of a heroine, trying to get through her mess of a life. Makes for good movies, not books. But, I guess they all can't be Harry Potter.
I wish.
So, I bought Skinny Bitch, which is a book about how to eat healthy and lose weight! I also bought A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. I've since heard that there was/is quite a bit of controversy over the book, because the author originally labeled it nonfiction, then come-to-find-out, his "memoirs" were somewhat altered, exaggerated, false...? I dunno, but I read about the book in Entertainment Weekly's top 50 books of the past 25 years issue, and then when I read the summary of the book and the author's introduction, I kinda teared up in Barnes & Noble.
I know I probably shouldn't read it, but I'm gonna try, and see how it goes.
